Web Survey Bibliography
Web-Befragungen – über das World-Wide-Web realisierte Fragebogenuntersuchungen – erfreuen sich zur Bearbeitung der unterschiedlichsten Fragestellungen in der Psychologie sowie verwandter sozialwissenschaftlicher Disziplinen wachsender Beliebtheit. Wie auch bei klassischen selbstadministrierten Fragebogenuntersuchungen ist bei allen Web-Befragungungen damit zu rechnen, daß von einem Teil der potenziellen Befragten entweder überhaupt keine Angaben vorliegen bzw. nicht alle der insgesamt gestellten Fragen beantwortet werden. Diese ´Nonresponse´-Problematik bildet den Ausgangspunkt des Buchs und führt zur zentralen Fragestellung:
Wie läßt sich die (teilweise) Nicht-Partizipation an Befragungen vorhersagen bzw. psychologisch sinnvoll erklären?
Während in der klassischen Umfrageforschung die meisten Arbeiten zum Nonresponse einer behavioristischen Logik folgen, die kaum Schlußfolgerungen über die der (Nicht-)Teilnahme an Befragungen zugrundeliegenden psychologischen Prozesse zuläßt, liegt hier ein Versuch einer handlungstheoretischen Modellierung des Partizipationsverhaltens vor. Web-Befragungen bieten dabei einen besonders geeigneten Zugang zur Thematik, denn diese liefern weitaus zuverlässigere und detailliertere Einblicke in die ´Black-Box´ des Partizipationsprozesses als klassische selbstadministrierte Befragungsverfahren.
Im Rahmen von insgesamt vier empirischen Studien wurde untersucht, inwieweit unterschiedliche Formen der (Nicht-)Teilnahme an Web-Befragungen vorhersagbar und erklärbar sind. Die theoretische Grundlage bildete die ´Theorie des geplanten Verhaltens´ von Icek Ajzen, erweitert um einige dem Verhaltensbereich (Non)Response angemessene Determinanten und Moderatoren.
Darüber hinaus wird ein Überblick zu den folgenden Themen gegeben:

- Zur Bedeutung der ermittelten Befunde bei der Auswahl von Verfahren zur Substitution bzw. Elimination fehlender Angaben
Zielgruppe: Psychologen (insbesondere aus den Bereichen Forschungsmethoden, Sozialpsychologie, Differenzielle Psychologie), empirisch orientierte Soziologen und Politologen sowie Markt- und Meinungsforscher.
